Privacy policy for the Alogator web and mobile application

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Profi steel holding s.r.o. (the “Operator”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, processes, protects, and uses personal data of users and clients of the Alogator web and mobile application (the “Application”).

We process personal data in accordance with:

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR),
Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data,
Other applicable laws of the Slovak Republic and EU.

By using Alogator, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

The Operator is the sole administrator of the Alogator Application and is responsible for processing your personal data.

3.1 Data provided by Users (job seekers)

Name and surname
E-mail address
Phone number
Profession and specialization
CV and attachments
Work experience and education
Address and country of residence
Profile photo
Languages and skills
Preferences and search filters
Communication data (responses to offers, messages, notes)

3.2 Data provided by Clients (employers)

Company name
Registered office and identification data (IČO, DIČ, IČ DPH)
Contact person name and contact details
Company logo
Job offers, business cooperation offers, and related content

3.3 Automatically collected data

Device information (mobile/desktop type, OS, version)
IP address
Log and diagnostic data
Cookies and online identifiers
Application usage statistics

3.4 Data obtained from third parties

Payment providers (payment confirmation information)
Social network login providers (if used)

4. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

4.1 Provision of core Alogator services

Creation and management of a User/Client account
Enabling job search and cooperation opportunities
Enabling publication of job offers
Displaying User CVs to Clients (only if enabled by the User)

4.2 Fulfillment of contractual obligations

Processing paid services
Subscription management and invoicing
Ensuring service functionality and support

4.3 Communication

Notifications about account, system updates, and important changes
Security alerts
Push notifications (optional and revocable)

4.4 Marketing and newsletters (optional)

Only based on explicit consent
Can be withdrawn at any time

4.5 Compliance with legal obligations

Accounting and tax obligations
Cooperation with public authorities (only when required by law)

4.6 Protection of legitimate interests

Fraud prevention
Error detection and service improvement
Protection of the Operator’s platform, databases and systems

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract
Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with a legal obligation
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent (newsletters, push notifications, CV publication)
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest of the Operator (platform security, analytics)

6. Retention Period

We store personal data only for the necessary duration:

User accounts: deleted after 3 years of inactivity
Client accounts: stored for the duration of active cooperation
CVs and documents: stored until the User unpublishes or deletes them
Invoices and accounting data: 10 years
Consent-based data (e.g., newsletters): until consent is withdrawn
Communication logs: up to 24 months
Technical logs: up to 12 months

After expiration of retention periods, data is permanently deleted or anonymized.

7. Sharing of Personal Data

We may share personal data with:

7.1 Clients (employers)

Only if the User has published their CV
Only to Clients with an active Client Account

7.2 Service providers (processors)

We use trusted partners for:

Data storage and cloud hosting
Payment processing
E-mail and notification services
Technical maintenance and security

All processors follow GDPR and act only on our instructions.

7.3 Public authorities

Only when required by law.

7.4 No sale of personal data

We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

Despite all efforts, no system can be 100% secure.

Adequacy decisions of the European Commission.

12. Children’s Privacy

Alogator is not intended for persons under 16.
We do not knowingly process personal data of minors.

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be published in the Application.

If significant changes are made, we will notify users at least 30 days before the effective date.
